The report of a survey of the Pakistani American community, focusing on their engagement with philanthropy in which I helped out, is now in print from the Pakistan Center for Philanthropy.The first few chapters of the report and the book have some very interesting historical information about Pakistani Americans in particular, but South Asians and South Asian immigration to the US in general.
An updated book version, including coverage of events since the earthquake in northern Pakistan and surrounding areas, will be available in the summer from Harvard University Press, as Portrait of a Giving Community : Philanthropy by the Pakistani-American Diaspora.
